Remember that time that Bush and Reagan essentially admitted that designating someone as “illegal” isn’t very constructive, insisted that immigration was an issue of labor and human needs, pleaded that we should address the issue of labor problems and not accuse immigrants as if they were part of a “problem” they really had no hand in creating, and indicated that not allowing the children of immigrants (illegal or otherwise) access to education is inhumane and foolish?
And remember how our current, allegedly “Left” party is now to the Right of what these (also alleged) paragons of the Right Wing apparently advocated on the issue?
