“ facts: some pulsars spin at a rate of 716 times per second, and since they are as large as Manhattan, standing on the surface would be like traveling 97,000,000 mph. Pulsars slow their spin frequency by 0.3s every million years. Sometimes they speed up in a phenomenon where the crust of the neutron-based star becomes 10,000,000,000 times the strength of steel. we are so simple it’s ridiculous.

It’s the last line that does it for me.

An exercise in existential postal abbreviation.

So I took this post by Mr. SouthTwelfth on L.L. Bean (and its models) and edited a paragraph taking all references to Maine and turning it into its postal abbreviation and…

southtwelfth:

You know, first of all, that the narrative backstory takes place in ME, which just feels right. The state of ME and the way of life of its inhabitants is an utter mystery to 99% of the rest of America. Who knows what goes on in ME? I only have the faintest idea myself!

I only have the faintest idea what goes on inside me as well, Andy.

This is a joke I’ve first seen done by R. Stevens and my friend Doppleganger Dave.

Joan Jett and them Blackhearts doing their rendition of “Crimson and Clover”

In the words of Lord Alfred Tennyson, “That’s some serious serendipitous shit right there.”
