I am a huge fan of BC’s bird, the Steller’s Jay; a loudmouth thug with excellent imitation abilities. Trained a few recently but they got sick of kowtowing for peanuts and took off for warmer ground.
I was never much a fan of NJ’s State Bird, the Eastern Gold Finch, though I do like finches. I do like New York’s Eastern Bluebird’s attitude of “Fuck it, I’m just gonna nest within these rocks.”
